Cyrille Aimee on couch

In November, local and international female jazz performers will come together for the inaugural Sydney International Women's Jazz Festival.

A host of talented female jazz musicians will be performing at the Sound Lounge (Seymour Centre) as part of the first Sydney International Women's Jazz Festival, from November 7 - 17.

Artists include Trio M (US) Cyrille Aimee (France/NY - pictured) No Tango (Germany), Marialy Pacheco (Cuba/Aus), and Australia's own Andrea Keller with Gian Slater, Hannah James and Sandy Evans.

The Festival will finish up with a free courtyard party on the afternoon of Saturday November 17 featuring Jess Green and the Pre-loved and Zoe and the Buttercups, followed by two more shows in the Sound Lounge.

For a complete program rundown, visit the SIMA website.

The Festival is being produced by the Sydney Improvised Music Association and ABC Jazz is a media supporter for the event.
