The festival runs over 10 days in 8 different venues across the Melbourne City of Stonnington.
Renowned jazz drummer Allan Browne, a Stonnington resident, is celebrating a magnificent 50 year career in jazz and he has been announced as the Stonnington Jazz Patron. He also performs with both his trio and quartet at a special show on Sunday May 23 at Chapel Off Chapel.
“What a great honour to be offered the role at my favourite festival,” Browne said. “Director Adrian Jackson has produced a key event in our jazz calendar, imbued with the underlying philosophy of presenting Australian groups and integrating young musicians with established players and composers”.
Other artists playing in the festival include James Morrison, Mike Nock, Vince Jones, Joe Chindamo, Nichaud Fitzgibbon, Ted Vining, Tony Gould, Bob Sederegreen Bernie McGann ,Ten Part Invention, Tina Harrod, and Paul Williamson. Younger talents also on display include Sarah McKenzie, Phil Stack and Zac Hurren.

Allan Browne (born 28 July 1944) is an Australia jazz drummer and composer first known for his work in the Red Onion Jazz band in the 1960's.
