York Jazz and Soul Festival
Performers announced for this year's festival include James Hunter, The Idea of North, Jamie Oehlers Quartet, Tim Garland Lighthouse Trio, Laia Genc Trio, Ari Hoenig Quartet, Sarah MacKenzie Quartet, Tinpan Orange, and the Neil Cowley Trio.
The Festival is also timed perfectly to fit in with the WA wildflower season, adding further colour to the streets.

Artist Biography
The Idea of North are an Australian a cappella vocal ensemble, founded in Canberra in 1993. The group's name is taken from radio broadcasts of pianist Glenn Gould. The group are generally referred to as a jazz quartet, but sing a wide variety of styles including, but not limited to, jazz, pop, R&B, classical, folk, soul and gospel.
