Cecile McLorian Salvant's career continues to go from strength-to-strength. She picked up a GRAMMY in 2016 for 'Best Jazz Vocal Album' with her record For One To Love, and she's about to drop a new double CD called Dreams and Daggers. The album features a mix of standards and originals, either captured live at the Village Vanguard in New York City with her rhythm section of Aaron Diehl (piano), Paul Sikivie (bass) and Lawrence Leathers (drums) or in the studio alongside the Catalyst string quartet.

She was the winner of the first prize in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition in 2010, releasing her first album, Cecile, shortly thereafter.
