'For One To Love' - Cecile McLorin Salvant

Cecile McLorin Salvant
Sep 18, 2015

French/American singer Cecile McLorin Salvant has released her third album as leader, inspired by the facets of love.

Cecile McLorin Salvant continues to go from strength-to-strength, following her first place in the 2010 Thelonious Monk International Jazz Competition, plus a GRAMMY nomination last year, and her third album is proof that she's cementing her place in the modern jazz pantheon. Salvant leads a quartet featuring pianist Aaron Diehl, bassist Paul Sikivie and drummer Lawrence Leathers. The album is made up of both originals and arranged standards, and the over-arching theme is one of love - love found, love lost, love yearned for, love spurned.
