New music this week from Tasmanian bassist Nick Haywood, recorded with his trio in Melbourne.

The Hobart-based bassist Nick Haywood delves into a set of original tunes as well as some unexpected covers on his new trio album, Many Rivers. His trio features Melbourne musicians Colin Hopkins (piano) and Niko Schauble (drums), and together they approach the music with the idea blowing over simple themes and allowing complexity to unfold as a collective process.
