Perth musician recalls....

Paul Pax Andrews
Feb 25, 2010 Updated Mar 5, 2010

Hear saxophonist Paul Pax Andrews reflect on his musical beginnings in this Story Catcher special from ABC Local Radio, Perth.

"Dada, did you always know you wanted to be a musician?"

That was 23-year-old Gabrielle Andrews' first question to her father, saxophonist and music educator Paul Pax Andrews. In fact, as you'll hear, he did ... ever since the first time he heard Woody Herman play Golden Wedding on an old gramophone record. Andrews' journey ever since has been as intuitive and as entertaining as one of his own riffs.
