Dee Dee Bridgewater - head & shoulders
May 10, 2012 Updated Jun 4, 2012

An ABC Jazz competition for tickets to Dee Dee Bridgewater's show at the 2012 Melbourne International Jazz Festival.

ABC Jazz has a massive competition where a lucky listener and friend will receive flights to Melbourne, one night's accommodation and tickets to see Ms Dee Dee Bridgewater perform on the closing night of the 2012 Melbourne International Jazz Festival on June 10, 2012.

For your opportunity to see this amazing lady, listen to Jessica Nicholas on ABC Jazz, Jazz Up Late with Gerry Koster and Jazztrack with Mal Stanley and jot down the Dee Dee Bridgewater tracks they play.

If you missed the shows, you can hear them again online here:

Jessica Nicholas - Friday 18 May

Jazz Up Late with Gerry Koster - Friday 18 May

Jazztrack with Mal Stanley - Saturday 19 May

You need to tell us each track on the entry form on this page and in a short paragraph tell us why you want to see Dee Dee Bridgewater perform in Melbourne.

This is her only Australian show this year and an opportunity not to be missed.

The prize is tickets for two to the show, two return economy flights from your closest capital city to Melbourne and one nights twin-share accommodation.

This competition has closed.  The winner was:

Colin Svanberg (WA) with his answer: '... I’m so desperate to see the living legend of traditional jazz I stayed 'up late' taking 'notes' of every 'jazz track' because to see the gorgeous diva Dee Dee live in concert I'd crawl across the Nullarbor’s plains under the midnight sun on my hands and knee knees – no other fan would go to that degree ree because I have ABC Jazz running through my veins!'

Thank you to everyone who entered - it was a difficult one to judge!
