Tony Delroy will appear for the last time on Nightlife, after 26 years with ABC Local Radio. Hear him intro the theme by DiG one last time.

The track is 'Green T' by the Aussie jazz/funk outfit Directions in Groove, and the album's called 'Curvystrasse.'

Australia will miss you,Tony. I have been listening to you, like so many others, for years. Actually I think you may have been working at 2UE when my mum was their famous tea lady??? Maybe not - too long ago.

As your opening theme was jazz, I suspect you may like the genre. So, if you are ever interested in keeping your hand in radio, I'm sure my Community Station at Henley/Ryde: (2 RRR FM) 88.5 would love having you present a weekly "Midday Jazz" programme. Fridays are free at the moment & you could always pre-record.

I'm on Thursdays & our Mondays to Fridays weekly lineup covers different styles with different presenters so one just plays what one likes to hear.

Please enjoy your retirement.

So sad to hear your 'sign-off'. Tony, thanks for your years of entertainment and dedication to your listening public. Your talent has been appreciated and your going will leave long memories. Like the great Arch McKirdy, you will be long remembered for your unique style of radio broadcasting.

Thanks dear Friend, and best wishes for the years ahead.
