The inaugural Art Music Awards finalists have been announced, with a refreshing of categories to include a Jazz Work of the Year. More here...

Formerly the Classical Music Awards, the Art Music Awards have announced their 2011 finalists, with the ceremony to be held on May 3 at the Sydney Theatre, Walsh Bay, Sydney.

Categories include: Work of the Year (Instrumental,Orchestral,Vocal/Choral, Jazz), Performance of the Year, Award for Excellence by an Organisation or Individual, Award for Excellence in Music Education, Award for Excellence in a Regional Area, Award of Excellence in Experimental Music

And Melbourne jazz ensemble, Way Out West has been nominated for the Award for Excellence by an Organisation or an Individual.
