The event was held at Melbourne's Plaza Ballroom on Thursday, May 5 and was attended by the who's-who of the national jazz scene.  As well as the awards themselves, the evening featured performances from the likes of Joe Chindamo, Jeremy Rose, Tony Gould and Elly Hoyt.

For the Queensland arts director, see Tony Gould (arts director). Tony Gould is an Australian jazz musician, pianist, composer and educator. Gould's many recordings and performances reveal his harmonic view of music and his love of music from both African-American and European jazz traditions, as well as the classical works of Bach, Mahler, Stravinsky and Messiaen.

Delighted to see Tony Gould being inducted into the Hall Of Fame. Well done Tony and well deserved. Thankyou Tony for so many years of superb music and the lovely evenings many of us have enjoyed at Bennett's Lane and other venues over the years!
