Django for kids
Django: World's Greatest Jazz Guitarist is the title of the new children's book, which includes lush oil paintings, an engaging text and a discography. The book tells the unique story of jazz guitarist Django Reinhardt, from a childhood of abject poverty, to life-threatening injuries, and an acclaimed musical career at the forefront of European Jazz.
Written and illustrated by Bonnie Christensen (Woody Guthrie: Poet of the People), this 32-page book is published by Roaring Brook Press and is intended for an audience aged five to nine years.

Django Reinhardt (23 January 1910 – 16 May 1953) was a pioneering virtuoso jazz guitarist and composer who invented an entirely new style of jazz guitar technique (sometimes called 'hot' jazz guitar) that has since become a living musical tradition within Belgian gypsy culture.
