Trombonist, Composer and Didgeridoo player Adrian Mears visits home for gigs.

After spending the last 17 years living and working in Europe, Adrian Mears has dropped-in on Australia this July for a handful of gigs.

The Newcastle native is a regular featured artist in many prestigious European ensembles, including the Vienna Art Orchestra, UGETSU, A-STRAIN and The New Orleans Hardbop.  He has also held various European teaching positions and is currently a Professor at the Music Academy in Basel, Switzerland.

After conducting a master-class in Newcastle and playing two gigs in Melbourne, Mears' final performances will be in Sydney:

16 July: SIMA Concert. The Adrian Mears Quartet.
8:30pm - Sound lounge @ The Seymour Centre: Corner City Road and Cleveland St, Chippendale, Sydney.
Adrian Mears - Trombone, Bernie McGann - alto sax, Brendan Clarke - Acoustic Bass, Toby Hall - Drums.

21 July: Jazzgroove Performance.  Visiting Quartet
10:00pm - Excelsior Hotel, 64 Foveaux St, Surry Hills, Sydney.
Adrian Mears - Trombone, Gavin Ahearn - Piano, Cameron Undy - Acoustic Bass, Nic Cecire - Drums.
