Leading this week's Aussie jazz playlist is the latest offering from saxophonist Andy Sugg, with a studio album recorded in New York City.

Playlist Information

A playlist and listen-again audio are available for 1 month by clicking the play button above after the broadcast.

Saxophonist Andy Sugg's latest record, titled Wednesdays at M's, is a reflection on his time in New York's Lower East Side - one of the key artistic hubs of the jazz Mecca. It was here that Sugg went about writing the tunes for this album in a vacant dace studio which belonged to Mike (hence the title). It was recorded earlier in 2016 with expats Sean Wayland on keys and Matt Clohesy on bass, as well as his daughter Kate Kelsey-Sugg on piano and vocals and New Yorkers Ben Eunson on guitar and Nate Wood on drums.
