Page added Aug 4, 2017 Updated Aug 16, 2017

Saxophonist David Theak joins us on ABC Jazz this week to share one of his favourite Australian albums from Adelaide guitarist James Muller.

Playlist Information

A playlist and listen-again audio are available for 1 month by clicking the play button above after the broadcast.

James Muller's seminal 2006 trio album Kaboom leads this week's Aussie jazz playlist. His colleague and long-time friend David Theak joins us in the studio to share about Muller and this album that he recorded with New York City-based musicians Matt Penman (originally from New Zealand) on bass and Bill Stewart on drums. The project came about as a result of James' Freedman Fellowship Award back in the early 2000s. Plus we'll also hear from the recent James Muller album Okay, which was produced with the Sydney Con Jazz Orchestra and arranger Florian Ross.

Presented by James Kennedy and David Theak
