As part of his 2016 James Morrison Scholarship, trumpet player Matthew Nicholls visited our Sydney studios with his septet to record some of his original compositions - and we'll hear from that session in full on this episode of Home Cooked. It's a timely release too, with the 2017 Generations in Jazz scholarships only recently being announced ahead of the Mount Gambier festival this coming May.

Matthew's record is called Ordinary to Extraordinary: My Thoughts on a Tea Cup, and features fellow James Morrison Academy students Flora Carbo, Scott van Gemert, Patrick Danao, Harry J Morrison, William Morrison and Lachlan Karl Hamilton.
