Jazz Notes, presented by Ivan Lloyd, has been offered on Radio Australia for some years showcasing the best in Australian jazz, featuring new recordings made in the ABC's studios. On-air Monday at 2pm and Thursday at 10am.

Now broadcast on ABC Jazz, Jazz Notes will offer the latest all-Australian releases and the best ABC recordings from around the country.

Relaxing after a good dinner, suddenly to my great joy and surprise I manage to connect to good old Aussie land, on my computer in Goteborg Sweden, I lived in Sydney during eight great years I am so fond of you all, Came 1965 into a pub I smoked at the time asked my Aussie bloke on the right. "Excuse me where is the ash tray"?Moments of waiting for his reply............., "Your are standing in it" Thank´s for good music it inspires me to hear and remember. One of many Swedes

Hi Ivan,
My name is David Phillips, I am a full time double bassist with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, and have recently collaborated with some of Adelaide's finest musicians to create an album of original contemporary jazz. The band is called Bottleneck and our debut album is called 'Diversions'. We are really proud of it and would like to send you a copy with the hope that you will like it and play it on your show.
