Jazz Up Late:

A glorious uncertainty

David Ades
Page added Apr 4, 2012 Updated Apr 13, 2012

Saxophonist David Ades' migrant father rejoiced in the uncertainty of life as a saleman on the streets of NY - now explored by David.

Byron Bay saxophonist David Ades recorded his latest album, A Glorious Uncertainty in his late father's adopted city, with like-minded New York improvisers, Tony Malaby, Mark Helias and Gerald Cleaver.  David will mark the release of the CD with an Australian tour this month.

Also on the bill: new recordings from guitarist Rez Abbasi, drummer Billy Hart and pianist Marc Hannaford, plus selections from Jerry Granelli, Chris Potter with the Danish Radio Big Band, and more.
