New York-based trumpeter Peter Evans' diverse interests range from jazz and avant-garde music to chamber and orchestral performance. His electro-acoustic quintet's recent album Ghosts is a present day dialogue with the past and future in sound - engaging in live electronic processing.

Also featured is more the recent re-issue of the Don Pullen Quintet's 1985 album The Sixth Sense featuring Olu Dara, Donald Harrison, Fred Hopkins and Bobby Battle.

Plus selections from new releases by the Guy Strazz Quartet, bassist Renaud Garcia-Fons (performing at the 2012 Melbourne International Jazz Festival), the duo of Simon Nabatov and Nils Wogram, the Daniel Humair/Tony Malaby/Bruno Chevillon trio and more from Gil Evans.
