One of the highlights this week is the new CD by the recently reformed ensemble Quest, initially established in 1981, featuring Dave Liebman, Richie Beirach, Ron McClure and Billy Hart - their album Circular Dreaming is a tribute to Miles Davis.
Also included are recent releases by the Bobo Stenson Trio, the Michael Musillami Trio with friends, Greg 'Organ Monk' Lewis, Florian Weber with Lionel Loueke, and a new package that compiles all of the albums by Jack DeJohnette's band 'Special Edition' for ECM Records - most of which are making their debut on CD.
And we'll hear from Andrzej Trzaskowski with the late Ted Curson, the Stan Tracey Octet, the Gerard Masters Trio, the late Borah Bergman, and the Orchestre National de Jazz from France which is visiting Australia in January.
