On this episode, hear a recent recording from the Australian bassist Sam Anning. He won 1st place at the National Jazz Awards during the 2015 Wangaratta Jazz Festival, and as part of his prize - he received a Jazztrack recording. We'll hear some of that on this episode, captured live with his sextet in Melbourne.

Plus, there's plenty of new music going around, including a soon-to-be released record from Finnish trumpeter Verneri Pohjola paying tribute to his father and bassist Pekka Pohjola. Also, we'll hear from the adventurous avant garde/punk/death metal/jazz trio dMu from their recent release.
