Jessica Nicholas presents music from Bernie McGann's 75th birthday show plus tracks from the Jazz ARIA nominees, Dr Lonnie Smith and more...

Saxophonist Bernie McGann is an iconic figure in Australian jazz, and earlier this year he celebrated his 75th birthday with a special concert in Sydney.  The concert was recorded for 'Jazztrack' and ABC Jazz, and you'll hear an excerpt on today's show.

We'll also feature several of this year's jazz ARIA nominees, and hear Dr Lonnie Smith cooking up a storm with a track from his new album 'The Healer'.

Plus there's music from Israeli bassist Avishai Cohen, and Swedish ensembles led by Lars Danielsson and Magnus Ostrom.
