Guitar icon Bill Frisell joins Michael Gibbs and the NDR Big Band for a live performance at the Uberjazz Festival in Hamburg, Germany. The band perform arrangements of number of Frisell's tunes, and also pay homage to his work as an arranger himself, taking on compositions by Monk, Gill Evans and The Beatles.
Also featured on this episode are tracks from Chris Potter and his stint with the Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra in 2012, Oliver Lake's Wangaratta appearance in 2010 and Mike Nock way back on '04.
