Cecil at Newport
On this episode of Jazztrack, we'll be stepping back in time to check out an early recording by Cecil Taylor, live at the 1957 Newport Jazz Festival. The Pioneering pianist has been at it for over 50 years, turning 85 in March, 2014.
Also on the show is a Jazztrack recording of Geroge Garzone, live in Melbourne from his 2011 Australian visit. Garzone was back in Australia for another tour during August, 2014. Mal also brings us two more Jazztrack recordings, from both Finland's Jukka Perka Arvara Trio and Queenslander Rafael Karlen, live at the 2014 Brisbane Jazz Festival.
