Charlie Christian is one of many jazz musicians who died way too young. We can only imagine what great music his career would have spawned, had he not passed away at the age of 25 due to ill health. On this episode, we'll sample music from both his period with the Benny Goodman Sextet, as well as Christian leading his own ensemble.

We will also sample previously unheard Mark Murphy - captured live at the Keystone Korner in 1980 - as well as Australian saxophonist Angela Davis and her quartet recorded live by the ABC.
