Pianist Danilo Perez explores his Panamanian heritage with a major new work bringing together many musical influences. Hear it on Jazztrack.

Panama 500 is the new recording from Danilo Perez and he brings in jazz, indigenous folk, Spanish and African musical themes as he celebrates the long history of his homeland and the epic journey 500 years ago by Spanish explorer Vasco Nunez de Balboa.

Paul Grabowsky revisits a sextet format for his new release on ABC Jazz, originally recorded for Jazztrack.  Perth drummer Daniel Susnjar takes inspiration from Afro-Peruvian rhythms for this new recording.

Plus other new recordings from Abdullah Ibrahim, Jeff Ballard, saxophonist Marius Neset and a little known children's album from Medeski, Martin and Wood.
