From Vijay...

Vijay Iyer
Page added Feb 10, 2012 Updated Feb 20, 2012

Coming from an Indian background, Vijay Iyer weaves many threads through his music..hear him in a solo piano setting in this Jazztrack.

Also two Beatles songs interpreted quite differently...and plenty of new releases: from trumpeter Jeremy Pelt, pianist and organist Sam Yahel and the Perth based, Israeli born pianist Tal Cohen.

Hi Vijay, Taking this opportunity, I should be grateful if you could assist me in the following :
I have been looking for some very, very, very slow/warm music/songs to release my stress after hard days work. Although I listened to quite a number of jazz music, I still could not find those extremely slow pieces that will lead me to sleep. I respect your professionalism and high calibre in selecting music/songs, therefore I do anticipate your kind recommendation to solve my problem which exists for many years already ! Happy week-end/Sunday, Tsim

Hi Tsim, we’ve tracked down the piece you heard on ABC Jazz at 6pm on Sunday 12th on Mal Stanley’s Jazztrack.
It was the track: Antilope Arabesque
From the album: Celestial Circle (ECM records 2228)
By Marilyn Mazur
But it’s quite likely that the singer on the track you heard was: Josefine Cronholm

Thanks for listening...!

I am so sorry cannot remember the name of the song, but only maybe one word ....CIRCLE (correct me if wrong). Thanks so much for your kind attention to this request and I am looking forward to hear from you of the information to my email address : tsimnmay@bigpond.com at your earliest convenience.
