Ted Vining
Page added Jan 24, 2013 Updated Feb 1, 2013

Drummer Ted Vining led one of the longest running bands in Australian jazz and we hear a 1981 radio recording on this episode of Jazztrack.

Other Australian music comes from Marialy Pacheco and her trio plus guitarist Toby Wren with his quartet. New releases from The Cookers, Bobby Broom plus a fine duo tribute to Abbey Lincoln.
Bassist Omer Avital looks to his Middle Eastern heritage for his new recording, plus more from pianist Gwilym Simcock, recorded at the 2012 Wangaratta Jazz Festival.
