Following ABC Classic FM's 'Classic 100: The Music of France', we'll hear a wide range of tunes from Django to Erik Truffaz... on Jazztrack.

France has always been receptive to jazz. From the jazz age in the 20's when Josephine Baker caused such a stir on her visit the French have given great respect to musicians from outside their country as well as developing many fine musicians and ensembles themselves.

Hear a cross section from Martial Solal, Michel Petrucciani, Orchestre National de Jazz, Jean Luc Ponty plus some of the more contemporary musicians as well as Mingus, Miles and Bud on French soil.
