Drummer Billy Hart played on hundreds of sessions since the 1960's and is an important band leader too. Hear his new release on Jazztrack.

Also on the show, the new recording from the trio that came to Australia in 2011 featuring vocalist Norma Winstone.  Miles Davis 'Solar' is reinterpreted by the UK trio led by pianist Alex Wilson.  A 1968 recording led by Pharoah Sanders features the very distinctive yodel like vocal sounds of Leon Thomas.

Plus: Recent Australian releases that include a new Melbourne trio 'Refraction' and the debut release from Sydney trombonist Ben Gurton.
