Music from a new album on Edition Records called The Late Trane by Denys Baptiste - who revisits John Coltrane's post-Love Supreme compositions. Mal also pays tribute to the late Nat Hentoff who was both a writer and a producer. We'll hear some of the music he helped produce with Charles Mingus on the Candid label in 1960.

Plus, new releases from tuba maestro Howard Johnson with his band Gravity; the Brazilian-born pianist Vitor Goncalves and his trio as well as the French-Australian guitarist Daniel Hunter.
