The Melbourne International Jazz Festival has just launched their 2017 program, with a number of jazz icons headed to our shores this winter. On this episode, we'll hear music from guitarist Bill Frisell - who's set to visit Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane. Also due down under is piano legend Kenny Barron and his trio, Donny McCaslin and his electro-jazz outfit and ECM stalwart Carla Bley - and we'll hear from all of the above.
Plus, new releases from South Korean composer Jihye Lee; Perth pianist Harry Mitchell, and a tribute to the singer Abbey Lincoln.
