Jessica Nicholas:

Spirit freedom

Page added Aug 10, 2017 Updated Aug 18, 2017

New album from Belgian pianist and composer Jef Neve, coinciding with Neve's recent 40th birthday. Plus, we remember singer Janet Seidel.

Playlist Information

A playlist and listen-again audio are available for 1 month by clicking the play button above after the broadcast.

The album is called Spirit Control, but it's really about the freedom Jef Neve feels at this point in his life, musically and personally.  Jef will be performing this repertoire in Australia when he visits in October. Also from Belgium, saxophonist Nicolas Kummert leads a band featuring guitarist Lionel Loueke. And we pay tribute to Sydney vocalist and pianist Janet Seidel, who passed away this week.
