Geri Allen is remembered on this episode with two live sets. The pianist and composer sadly passed away in June 2017 following a battle with cancer. As tributes flow from around the world, we'll hear part of a performance she gave here in Australia at the 2006 Wangaratta Jazz Festival - originally recorded for Jazztrack - with Marc Johnson on drums and Darryl Hall on bass. You can also catch more of this set with Mal Stanley on Jazztrack. To round out the hour, we'll also revisit a set captured in 2005 at NDR's Rolf Liebermann Studio in Hamburg Germany - featuring Allen on piano, Jimmy Cobb on drums and Darryl Hall on the bass.
